If a watch face or app asks you to pay or shows a code, you are in the right place.

Pay for an app

  1. Scan the QR code on the watch screen - it opens the payment page right away. Or enter the code shown on the watch (or in the app settings in Connect IQ) below.
  2. Choose the term or amount and pay by card or PayPal.
  3. You get the unlock code on the screen and by email. Depending on the app, it unlocks by itself within a few minutes, or you enter the code in its settings.

Restore a purchase

Got a new watch, reset the old one or lost the code? Your purchases are not lost.

  • enter the email you used at checkout - we will send you a temporary password
  • see all your codes, their terms and the watches they are linked to
  • unlink a code from the old watch and use it on the new one

Place text, hands, images and static labels anywhere on the screen. Upload your own TTF fonts and backgrounds.

Every data field can get a matching icon from the built-in icon font - or none at all.

Already have a Connect IQ app?

Use PayToUse payments on their own - for watch faces, widgets, data fields and apps written in Monkey C. Weather, prayer times, glucose monitoring and many other apps already work this way.

Register the app

Add the app in the developer panel, choose a pricing model and set prices. The purchase page is ready in 10 languages.

Add the code check

A couple of lines in your app: send the code and the device id to our API in a background request and get back whether the app is unlocked.

Users try for free

During the trial period everything works. Then the paid features lock, and the app shows a QR code or a code with a link to the payment page.

Get paid

Payments are accumulated for each app, and once a month you receive your money. Sales, codes and devices are always in your dashboard.

Kind words are a good reward for work, but money is better

  • any field can be paid - the same data may be free in one place and paid in another
  • a free trial period so users can try before they buy
  • the watch shows a QR code; payment by card or PayPal takes a minute

No. You design the watch face in the browser, and PayToUse generates and compiles the Connect IQ project for you.

Modern Garmin watches with Connect IQ 4 and newer, both MIP and AMOLED screens. The list of models in the designer grows as Garmin releases new ones.

Build a .prg file for your model and copy it to the GARMIN/APPS folder of the watch over USB.

Yes. Build the .iq package and upload it to the Connect IQ Store with your Garmin developer account. PayToUse never publishes anything on your behalf.

Payments for paid features go through Stripe or PayPal. Earnings accumulate for each watch face and are paid out to you once a month, with full reports.
